“Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Blockin’ out the scenery, breakin’ my mind”
Back in the day – 1970-71 – I think, a Canadian group, The Five Man Electrical Band, recorded a song called Signs. It was a hit back then and it got me thinking.
Our organization here has signs everywhere. There are signs that seem to spawn more signs. In any of our facilities – hospital, clinic or school – there are signs. Once you’re in one of our buildings or campuses, you’d think signs advertising the organization would not be necessary. But you’d be wrong. There are more signs advertising our presence.
There are even signs in clock faces. Hell, I’m even a sign.
So it’s true, in this organization wherever you are, there’s a sign sign everywhere a sign.
I couldn’t resist one shot only indirectly based on signs. Check out the guy in the pickup truck selling shoes to the construction guys in front of our sign advertising our new soon to be opened building. (Slide 15)
So just when I was about to comment that you ,as the token Caucasion, had been replaced (Slide 10), I came upon Slide 14!!! They brought you in from the outdoors! A new you! HAHAHAHA!
Yup, they brought me back. The guy on the elevator door is a stock photo. I’m the real deal.
