Songkran on Khao San Road: A Photo Essay

A series of photos showing the mayhem on the street

More pictures have arrived from the cloud above and this edition of the Bangkok Blog is here to share some of them with you.  This set is from our Songkran day at Khao San Road.  There will be more tomorrow and maybe the next day from Silom.  But for now, there is not much to say except to suggest that you take a look at the photo essay above.  It depicts, in a small way, the activities during my Sunday afternoon being wet and crazy in one of the most famous neighbourhoods in Asia.

The photos above were taken on a small camera designed to be used under water.  Some of the shots are almost artistic in their out of focused and washed out ways.  The one thing missing from this photo essay is the techno pop music.  It hyped up the crowd like you wouldn’t believe.

From the cloud to you, a watery photo walk through the streets of Khao San.  Please enjoy.
