Today is my first full day back in Bangkok during this visit. It seems like the next week or so will be pretty busy, so posts will probably be short. However, I’ll do my best.
It’s been a long time since I wrote about Fuller Brush sales guys. The last time was in November 2018 and the time before that was September 2017. My coverage of Fuller Brushes in Bangkok goes way back. In September 2014, I wrote about Fuller Brushes and included an index of blog posts covering these brushes that go back to February 2007.
This passion for Bangkok based Fuller Brushes is pretty ridiculous. But here we are, with another post on Fuller Brushes.
I noticed him during this morning’s walk to the hospital. He was sitting on a curb organizing stuff in his bag. His Fuller Brush cart stood on the street literally a few steps from the hospital. What was I to do? I couldn’t not take pictures. I would be remiss. After all, it’s been about 5-years since I mentioned Fuller Brushes. What harm could another short post do?
So here’s to Bangkok based Fuller Brush guys. As the city continues to grow and become more tech oriented, these guys with their variety of brushes and brooms still seem to ply the streets selling what are clearly always helpful tools for sweeping and dusting.
I haven’t seen mechanical street cleaners in Bangkok, so I guess streets, which seem generally pretty clean, are still Fuller Brushed. I don’t know how many Roombas there are at people’s homes. But I imagine Fuller Brushes still have a place there as well.
Here’s to the continuation of the Fuller Brush tradition in Bangkok. Perhaps in a couple of years I’ll check in again to take the pulse of Fuller Brushes in Bangkok.

My son would look at a broom or brush and ask me:
1. How do you turn it on?
2. If the broom/brush does not work, where do you install new batteries?
These brush et al guys ‘ground’ us, so to speak, with cleaning rhythms that are very Buddhist in nature to my view
You turn it on by grabbing the handle. If it gets sluggish, that means the handler has not eaten enough and probably has low blood sugar. To charge the ‘batteries’, eat stuff.
Good ideas!
May order a pizza or pad Thai to motivate activity!
