36 Virtual Hours in Bangkok

2 Apr

I always say that the reason I come to Bangkok is to work, not only on my Bangkok stuff but also on Toronto stuff. So keeping the blog going on a daily basis can be difficult.

I’m not trying to say that I’m being lazy, but it’s Sunday as I write this, so I thought I would let someone other than me write today’s Bangkok Blog entry.

Recently, I was sent an article from the New York Times. The article is about the stuff a tourist could do over a 36 hour period in Bangkok. It has been reprinted in the Bangkok Post, a popular English-language newspaper here, as it seems like the New York Times version might be paywalled.

So I thought I would do the obvious thing – link to the Bangkok Post article and let you do the reading, if you’re interested.

That’s it for this Sunday edition of the Bangkok Blog. I have blatantly stolen (copied) some of the photos from the article for the slide show above. That’s the sum of the work that I’ve done for this post.

Enjoy 36 virtual hours in Bangkok. (It’s a pretty cool article.)

A Public Service Announcement: Even though it’s suggested in the article, I recommend not biking in Bangkok even virtually. It can be dangerous. I only bike on special tracks or in the country where there is not a lot of traffic. So ignore the paragraph on biking and spend the time eating or doing something that won’t get you killed or if you’re lucky, brought to one of our hospital emergency departments where we’ll hopefully save you.
